No School - November 22-26th

There will be no school November 22nd through 26th for Thanksgiving Break. We hope you enjoy your time with friends and family.

Open House for New Junior High School and Maroon Athletic Center

Perry Public Schools welcomes the community to an open house and ribbon cutting event at the new Junior High School and Maroon Athletic Center.

This come-and-go event is scheduled for Thursday, December 2, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. A brief presentation will take place at 4:30 p.m. with a ribbon cutting by the Perry Chamber of Commerce and remarks from Perry Public Schools.

This will serve a great time for community members, parents, and alumni to stop by and visit the 65,000 square facility.

The first Perry High School varsity home basketball game will be held in the new Maroon Athletic Center on Friday, December 3. Students will begin classes in the new facility when they return on January 5, 2022 after the winter break.

It is located at 903 North 15th Street.

JH Basketball Perry & Morrison Tournament Brackets

JH Basketball will host in Perry and travel to Morrison for the Perry/Morrison basketball tournament November 15th, 18th and 20th. Brackets can be found on the JH Basketball page of the website, linked through the headline of this story.

Meet a Wrestler

Wrestling season is upon us! Join us for “Meet a Wrestler Night” on Thursday, November 18th at 5:30 p.m. in the Perry High School Auditorium.

This will be a time to introduce the youth, junior high, and high school wrestlers to the community, hear about the upcoming season, and team poster signing!

Football Will Play in 1st Round of Playoffs

The football team advanced to the 1st round of playoffs with a win against Newkirk. They will play in Chandler at 7:30pm. Veteran's and one guest will receive free admission with a military ID card or driver's license that shows military status. Tickets to the games must be purchased in advance through the GoFan app. Tickets through the OSSAA playoffs are a total of $8.35 per ticket. Tickets will be available for sale on Tuesday at 12pm. Football @ Newkirk

Perry Football plays at Newkirk on Friday, November 5th at 7pm. Watch the game live on or listen to the game on 105.1 fm.

Veteran's Day Assembly

Veterans Day Assembly is planned for Thursday, Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. in the PHS auditorium. All Veterans in the community are encouraged to attend! Veterans are asked to meet in the lobby no later than 8:45 a.m.

Community Coat Drive

In collaboration with Perry Public Schools, Grand Lake Mental Health Center, and the Perry Ministerial Alliance, a community coat drive is underway to prepare for the upcoming winter season. Donations are being accepted until Thursday, November 11th at the upper elementary and various locations around town.

The community distribution event will take place on Friday, November 12 from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Perry Lower Elementary gym. All students and community members in need are encouraged to attend this event to pick up warm clothing for the upcoming winter season.
